A reminder that there is always light across the river to guide you. I followed my intuition on quiet night walks, discovering distant lights glowing from homes and buildings across the water. I painted this piece over many nights, letting instinct lead the way. Each layer taught me that exploration is rarely easy and mistakes are part of the journey.

Set within Cataract Gorge in Launceston, Tasmania, this painting reflects a time of major changes and a yearning for creative exploration.

Each painting session began with meditation. The pool of water, encircled by rocks and nourished by a running stream, invites you to pause and connect with your inner landscape.

It’s a call to spend time with ourselves, allowing hidden parts to surface - the beautiful, the scary, the unknown. I hope you’ll embark on your own journeys of self-discovery, finding solace and strength along the way.

Spend Time With Me is an invitation to see the world and oneself with renewed eyes, uncover hidden gems within, and ultimately find peace in being authentic.

Inspired by a trip to Vietnam, a place where my parents were born but where I hadn’t visited in years. During my visit, I allowed my intuition to guide me, and one day, while exploring District 7, I followed the vibrant red and orange leaves that led me to this beautiful home. It felt like a moment of discovery and clarity, especially significant as my grandmother passed away shortly after my return. On this trip, I felt the love and presence of my grandparents, which deepened my connection to this place and to myself.

Called Home calls us to reconnect with ourselves and reflects the search for a place that feels safe and comforting. The home is not just as a physical place but also an emotional and spiritual sanctuary.

Discovery requires patience, curiosity and the courage to step into the unknown. Some paths can feel both inviting and uncertain.

A home hidden among lush greenery caught my eye as I passed by in a moving car. I quickly captured it in a photo. The home inspired two paintings, “Steps To Find Me” and “Steps to Find Me (Moonlight).”

For me, this version speaks to the courage it takes to face the hidden parts of ourselves – the parts we may avoid, fear or misunderstand, and to meet them with curiosity, softness and acceptance.

Step inside your sanctuary, where an inner knowing brings memories and emotions to light. Carried by water, they rise and release. Though unsettling at times, this process brings lightness, calm and renewal.

I’ve learned to go inward and care for my emotional needs – a difficult but necessary practice that leads to ease and feeling good. Here, I wanted to capture that cathartic release, where hidden emotions rise to the surface and find freedom.

Inspired by the ephemeral blooms of wisteria, lasting only a few weeks before being swept away by the wind, this piece reflects the delicate and transient nature of life. Painted to Lana Del Rey’s Young and Beautiful, it holds a quiet longing for love, for time, for what can’t be held onto.

During a contemporary dance class, Taku's We Were In Love provided powerful and intricate instrumentals that guided my brushstrokes, infusing the work with strength and allure. Later, Bích Phương's Chưa Từng Thuộc Về Nhau inspired glistening and oozing elements, connected to the distant and unclaimed love in her music.

Wistful Shadows is a journey through these emotions, capturing beauty, loss, and the impermanence of life's most treasured moments.
